    I noticed Google Search Console is now flagging products with warnings of the Schema Markup for the “Brand” attribute as:

    Invalid object type for field “brand” (optional)
    “brand”:{“@type”:”Thing”,”name”:”Magpul”}

    Was this a change in the theme itself or possibly another plugin causing this?

  • Hi @terrco,

    Invalid object type for field “brand” (optional)

    this error message sounds like it is being caused by a conflict.

    I found a similar error here: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/error-invalid-object-type-for-field-brand-since-october-1st/

    It will be great if you could share your current System Status Report. You can get it by navigating to the WooCommerce / Status section of your site. Once there, click on the Get system report button and then copy it by clicking on the Copy for support button. Then paste it here in a comment.

    Next, please share a full screenshot of the error message.

    I recommend https://snipboard.io/ for easily sharing screenshots – please follow the instructions on the page, then paste the URL(s) in your reply.
    You can simply drag the image and drop it to generate a link to share.

    Thanks!

    The issue has since resolved itself through unknown means. The only thing that stood out is that we are using another Quadlayer plugin (Change Storefront Footer Copyright Text v1.0.9) that was recently updated.
