• I am encountering a sporadic error that says “There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.” when I perform some actions in my blog admin pages, like when I try to edit a post,

The error only happens for certain actions and it lets me perform other admin tasks like adding a new post with no trouble.

Its also worth noting that while the error tells me to check my admin inbox, there never is an email there, so I have no idea what to do next.

My theme and plugins are all up to date, and my site health is “good”.

Has anybody encountered this error that can give me some idea of how to resolve? Thank you!

Errors like this are logged. Check the error log on your server. If you can’t find the log, please contact your host.

Meantime, enable wp_debug and wp_debug_log and after an error, look at wp-content/debug.log to see if anything gets logged there. https://wordpress.org/support/article/debugging-in-wordpress/

You can also try this: Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.

If you cannot access wp-admin, there are other ways to deactivate plugins.
