Problems with audio block

    I am having problems with the audio block.

    Please see the page referred to, which has three audio recordings near the end.
    Because of these problems, I have resorted to the classic audio shortcode:
    <p>[audio mp3="https://.....mp3"]</p>
    These blocks appear with a black background and work fine.

    Issue 1
    I have attempted to repeat the first recording using the audio block. It shows as grey and, as you can, see reports an error.

    Issue 2
    If I edit the audio block in any way and then press page update, it fails to complete the update reporting

    Updating failed. The response is not a valid JSON response.

    NB This is a clone of the live site. I know that when editing this page the first output is an error message to do with Stripe not being set up correctly. This does not occur on the live site but the problem does exist on the live site.

    The audio block’s audio (gray player) plays fine for me… no error!

    I can’t record a video now, but as you can see from the screenshot below, I’m about 2 minutes 21 seconds into the audio playback.

    No clue about your second issue though.

    Mmm… I have just tried using Firefox and it is OK for me too.

    But I get the error using Sarafi on MacOSand on iOS devices.
    It looks like a Safari issue?
