I have a simple shop page that shows the various categories of products. I have searched to find some way to add some text under the Shop heading. This seems like it should be very simple (like you can do for the categories), but there doesn’t seem to be a way to add simple text there. Am I missing something obvious? Thanks

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @amweiss98,

Generally, you should be able to add text below the Shop title editing the Shop page in WP Dashboard > Pages. I’m using Storefront theme and this is the result:

If it’s not working for you, reach out to the theme authors (https://rarathemes.com/support-ticket/) for help.

    Thanks.

Thanks. I will do this. It really seems strange this is theme-dependent. I believe Woocommerce should make this possible.

This is not theme dependent – by default, you can add subtitle text via Dashboard > Pages > Shop as @rainfallnixfig explained.

Only if you can’t add text to the page, the default functionality may be overwritten by your theme. In such a case, it’s best to contact the theme authors for further assistance.

    I hope it clarifies.

Thanks, @maykato ..I tried putting the subtitle under the Shop title, but it doesn’t show up in the theme. I contacted the theme authors and they said they had nothing to help me (no code, no nothing).

    Hi @amweiss98

Hmm…your site may be experiencing a conflict issue. To determine what’s causing the issue, please temporarily switch your theme back to Storefront and disable all plugins except for WooCommerce. If that resolves the issue, then re-enable plugins one-by-one until you find the one that’s causing the conflict.

You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/
