We have a CPT / Taxonomy structure and have added protection at the category level – this works as expected. I would like to override this protection for some content in one of these protected categories, but when I change the settings in the Simple WP Membership Protection meta box at the single post level and hit update the setting revert back to the category level setting.

We cannot override the category protection at the single post level – this seems like a bug or am I missing a step?

    Hi,

You have to disable the protected category from the post or page in question. This should allow you to make changes.

    Kind regards.

But won’t that affect all the posts in that category. I was hoping to overide just one or 2.

Hi, unfortunately that is how it currently works.

    Thank you.
