Sidebar, links and blogroll
-
I’m working on a site at Timeforchi.com that is built entirely from a wordpress theme called clean-blue. I have customized it and basically ripped out anything to do with comments. The client can still change text on every page by using the admin screen, but I am now stuck. I need to add a links and a contact page and don’t want to extend the horizontal nav pane any wider. I want to put the nav tabs for these two pages in the sidebar which is currently floating to the right of the logo in the header. All that is left of the sidebar now is a Search form. I’m good at ripping things out. There is a links.php in the theme’s files that doesn’t seem to be used by the theme’s author. I can activate the blogroll widget but then it puts the links on every page and spills over the header, and is called blogroll and not links. What I want to do is call in a new page when a user clicks Useful Links and have that page look like the rest of the site, and have my client be able to put in those useful links from the regular blogroll admin screen. It is beyond me. I need to do the same for a contact page.
