    Hello,

I’ve been using your Daily Quotes for ages without a problem. However, recently I’ve noticed that the quote had not updated and has remained on the previous day.

Today, 14/09/2021, I looked at the quote page and found that it was still set to 13/09/2021. I had to deactivate and reactivate the plugin for this to update to the correct day. This is the second occurrence of this problem, but I have no idea what the cause might be. I do know that I have updated various plugins, and also display the Daily Quote using the Shortcode with Elementor.

The WordPress TimeZone is GMT (UTC+0). I’m in a different Time Zone, about 4/5 hours behind GMT, so it should definitely have updated before I checked it today.

Any ideas as to the cause of the issue and how to prevent?

    Thanks.

It sounds like something is caching the results. When you reactive the plugin the data is refreshed. What caching systems are in place?

Thanks for the response, I never considered that.

Actually, there is a plugin called ‘LiteSpeed Cache’. I guess I will have to disable.

    Thanks for the pointer!

That is probably the plugin. You might be able to set that plugin to refresh the cache quicker say once an hour. Not sure though as I do not use that one.

Thanks for the further input. For now, I will leave it disable until – just to make sure the issue is resolved. Later, I might look at trying to alter the settings. I appreciate your ongoing support for your plugin and for those of us who utilise it!
