    Hi support,

having added the language switcher to the page header and having added two languages DE + EN with individual url each, the DE url (default) suddenly changes to the url of EN after having selected the EN url once.
It cannot be reverted. In other words: having switched once the web page from German DE (default) to English EN and hovering over DE the url changed to the one of EN… Finally, no chance to switch back to DE web page. The language switcher changed to two identical url.
    What to do now?

    Thanks for support.
    Regards.

    Hello,

Thank you for getting in touch with us!

Could you please let me know how the language items were inserted into the website?

It looks like some other language switcher classes were appended to the them and it might interfere with TranslatePress’ code.

    Best regards,

    Hi Dragos,

    thanks for getting back.

Well, I haven’t coded anything nor had another language plugin before. I just inserted the language switcher widget into the header and selected the languages wanted in the left hand panel and added both url for DE and EN.
Well, there seems to be another problem of this version in general. This might also be related to my 1st request I still have. It looks like there is a cache issue. It is not correctly emptied.
Once, I remove the language switcher widget and save the page and reopen for translating there still is the selection of DE + EN available. Even twice each item… Don’t know why. Re-inserting the language switcher widget languages are still there and I don’t have to set up anything… So, a persistent problem.
    How to clean that?

    Thanks in advance.
    Best.

    Hi plugin support,

haven’t heard anything for couple of days.
Do I have to delete the plugin and reinstall? Appreciate a solution of you.

    Guys,

still haven’t received any hint yet for solving the problem.

Kindly asking to check out the web page now since I have added the language switch in the menu. There now is a gap of approximately two items in between.
    How to resolve this?

    Thanks.

    Hi Dragos,

    thanks for reply.
Issue resolved by myself. Don’t know really how but it works for now.
The language switcher widget simply doesn’t work as expected. Simply don’t use. Strictly follow your tutorial video of the 3 ways to implement a switcher. The widget does not appear at all there!

    Best.
