Hi @pipoulito,
Creating many variations shouldn’t be an issue with the right host and having adequate resources on that host is essential as it will require extensive operations on the server. Said that, you could also consider product add-ons instead of variations which will probably load the pages a lot quicker. Here is some forum threads you may want to consult relating to the topic:
– https://wordpress.org/support/topic/huge-number-of-variations/
Cheers.
HI,
Thanks for your feedback.
But can i also use product add-on if i have to manage stock for each variation ?
Cheers
Hi @pipoulito,

Yes, using product add-ons should not normally affect the parent product’s stock. However, it could depend on the add-on plugin that you’re using. You could check with the plugin authors of the add-ons plugin that you intend to use for further clarifications.
Thanks.
Hi,
Actually i am not talking about the parent product’s stock.
I set the stock on each variation.
So if i convert some of the attributes (used in variations) as a product add on , i am afraid the add on would just be a product attribute without any stock settings.
thanks
Hi again,
Thanks for getting back.
WooCommerce core itself does not provide a product add-on functionality out of the box so, as suggested earlier by @abwaita, if you intend to use a products add-on extension/plugin it’s best to reach out to the plugin author and check the stock settings feature.
Thanks.
