“Close comments after xx days” – Except pages?

Hi folks,

I’ve just switched on the “close comments after x-number of days” option, but I’d like to leave page comments open (as they’re ongoing, and continually relevant). Is there an easy way to do this that doesn’t involve hacks such as tweaking the date of the page post date? Or perhaps a plugin? Would love to hear it!
