Post views get duplicated

    Hi,
    when duplicating an article, the post views get also duplicated. I think this is something not needed, since when duplicating a post, the views for the new post should be set to 0. Is it something that could be implemented in some upcoming plugin update?

    Hey @dkarantonis

    With a duplicate page plugin, when you duplicate or clone a post, it will also clone the post meta values with keys, so maybe your post views are post meta.

    Hi there,

    but it makes sense to “take the meter with you”.

    In my opinion not.
    Do you see a way to prevent this?

    Hi, for sure, this is what happens. The meta data get cloned along with the entity. But cloning a post, is just a way to easily copy/paste the data and create a new post by editing some data. Don’t you think that post views should be excluded from getting copied?
    Imagine a new post created after cloning, getting 1000 views upfront. Is this ok? If yes, then I should look for another plugin.
