    Hi,

    How do I disable the system sending a generic email to users with their login details with links to set their password. I don’t want this to happen.

    Thanks!

    In “Mail options” you have the settings to choose which mails should be sent.

    Yes, I am using the options. But it appears WordPress is also sending default emails e.g.

    Username: XXX

    To set your password, visit the following address:

    https://mywebsite.com/wp-login.php?action=rp&key=dKGo06OeSoSvBYj34MSk&login=XXX

    https://mywebsite.com/wp-login.php

    I have now installed another plugin to hopefully stop these emails.

    @pawanahluwalia,

    If the mail is sent and you set there to avoid sending this mails… something else in your site is overriding it (some other plugin or even your theme).

    Okay, I will check. Thanks for your help.
