• I’ve been using WordPress for a little while now and have created some CMS sites for clients that work well. Most have been using straight text boxes (the native editor), a few custom fields using the More Fields plugin or the NextGEN image gallery plugin.

What I cannot work out how to do, or find, or even how to search for it online, is a plug-in or method to create lists which have pre-defined, grouped fields that is intuitive and user-friendly for clients.

For example, on a page, a client may want me to set it up so he/she can:
    • create a list of logos each with a title, or
    • create a list of staff members with, say, name, image, role, description etc, or
    • create a list of sport events, with date, location, notes etc

Ideally, in the page editor in the dashboard, the user would enter the details in a group of input boxes for per list item, a group would contain a field for each list property (ie. name, image, role, description) and he/she could press a button to add a new group of fields for a new entry into the list, or a button to remove an entry.

Is there anything out there like this? Is there a relevant search phrase I should be using to find info online?

I’m also trying to avoid Pods as I am no database expert and would like to keep everything within the WordPress DB.

    Thanks
    pete
