Hello together,

I have activated complianz and run throught all Steps of Installation. Cookie Banner appears and blocks all identified Cookies. However, if i Open the side in chrome still there are 3 cmplz Cookies active even before approving the cookie Banner:
Cmplz_functional
Cmplz_policy_id
Cmplz_statistics_anonymous

Do you know if this is compliant with DSGVO? Or if this cookies also should be Blocked by complianz add-in.

Hi @mochoice,

These cookies are functional and will manage consent, the values will record consent.

The cmplz_policy_id has a numerical value that corresponds to the cookie policy. If a user has consented on ID:10, but your cookie policy has been updated and loads with ID:11, the user will have to consent again.

Thanks a lot for that Information. If These cookies are functional I guess that Users Need to approve functional cookies before they are activate. Is that correct? Thanks again for your help.

Hello @mochoice ,

No, that is not correct. According to the ePrivacy Directive and also GDPR/DSGVO it is allowed to directly place Functional cookies (also known as essential, technical, or strictly necessary) because these cookies are necessary for the functionality of a website.
