    Hello Emanuelhud,

    Thanks for reaching out.

In order to add the Yoast SEO How-to structured data, you must add the How-to block using the default WordPress editor (Gutenberg) and not the Classic Editor. This means that you have to switch to the default editor and add the How-to block on the posts or pages where you want the structured data to appear. We have more information in this guide: How to add HowTo Schema using Yoast SEO blocks.

Furthermore, we understand that you are getting the following errors in the Google Search Console:

    Missing field “supply”
    Missing field “tool”

The fields “tool” and “supply” are not currently available in the Yoast SEO plugin. Since these are optional and not required, the warnings you see are not errors and will not cause any issues. However, we understand that it would be useful to have these fields available.

You are actually not the first to have requested this feature, so a feature request has already been created. It is currently under review by our product team.

Our product team will asses feature requests in relation to other open bug reports and new features. Based on their assessment, the feature request will be given priority. Our developers work on the highest priority first. Unfortunately, this means we cannot give you an estimate if or when they’ll start working on your request.

Regarding, Either “image” or “video” should be specified, if you add an image or video to your HowTo block, does it resolve the issue?

We are going ahead and marking this issue as resolved due to inactivity. If you require any further assistance please create a new issue.
