WordPress upgrade to 5.8 fail | WordPress.org

So WordPress didn’t allow me to do a quick upgrade, so I decided to make a backup of my page on Google Drive and upgrade manually through FileZilla(FTP). I followed the instructions Manual upgrade, or at least I think I did. I didn’t delete the mainteinence file because I couldn’t find it. I did something wrong because the page has a critical error and I cannot open it. Can someone please tell me what to do next, or should I Try to do the process again? Thank you in advance!

Hi, elasaleta, you can try the process again.

To discount the possibility of corrupt files, you can do a checksum verification either with md5 or sha1 using the supplied values on https://wordpress.org/download/releases/#latest

Performing a checksum basically tells you whether or not the files that you downloaded are identical to what they should be.

Thank you @plantprogrammer . I tried it again and it worked, I must have missed something the first time.
