FTP into your site (or use whatever file management application your host provides) and rename any pre-existing index.html file.

Could you specify what “rename any pre-existing index.html file” means

You may have a file called index.html. You may just need to rename it to index2.html.

Either that or you have an error in your php code in your header file.

I found a index.php file. Is that it?

No. You need to look for index.html, index.htm, home.html or home.htm. If you can’t find any of these files, try contacting your hosts for advice.

I found a home.html and a index.html in the “stats” folder. Which one do I rename?

Not in the stats folder. In the same folder as your WordPress files.

I’m not sure what folder you are talking about. Ipage installed one “root folder” then eight other subfolders blog, cgi-bin,home,stats,wp-admin,wp-content,wp-include. Which folder is it in?.

Another thing, should I just try to uninstall and reinstall wordpress?
