When I want to pay for a product, before sending me to PayPal it asks me to enter the billing details data, when I am already a registered user (it should not ask me for personal data since I am a registered user). How can i fix this?

    Hi there 👋

Would you mind sharing a link to your site so that we can check what might be happening?

    Thanks!

this is the link: https://www.zyontrain.com/ and you have to go to “shop” to check what happens.

Thank you for sharing the link! 🙂

Now, quick question, are the checkout fields auto-populating when a customer is registered? If so, it sounds like would you like to skip this step, right?

    Cheers.

Where is this option, i can’t find it in woocommerce. Tanks.

This is a default WooCommerce functionality, so it should work for you right away.

Just to so you know, this auto-populating functionality will only work when a registered user has purchased in the shop before and will not work if the registered user hasn’t made a purchase yet.

So, I wonder, does your customer have purchased before in your store? If not the case, please perform an order test and then check if the checkout fields auto-populates.

    Cheers!

    Hi @chupachota,

Just to be sure, did you mean that:
    1. Users already registered on your store are being asked to enter billing details
    – OR –
    2. Users registered with PayPal are being asked to enter billing details during checkout?

Note that some of the customer’s billing/shipping info may have to be sent to PayPal when the order transaction is being processed. Thus, if you meant that customers already registered with PayPal are being asked to enter these details during checkout, it is quite normal. However, for users registered and logged into your store, their billing details should be pre-populated during checkout as @gabrielfuentes explained above.

    Thanks.
    Thanks.

It is the first case: clients already registered on my site are asked for billing details. Registered users on my site have already entered their address and telephone number, etc. and in the checkout they are asked again for that data. It would be much more convenient for the client not to have to re-enter this data.

And with regard to the comment of @gabrielfuentes, users who have already placed an order are automatically filled in the fields address, telephone, etc. But I believed that being an already registered user, and that you have already entered that data, they should not see those fields in the checkout.
    thanks for your help!

the plugin i use for register user is “ultimate member”. I don’t know if it matters.

    Thanks for the clarification.

But I believed that being an already registered user, and that you have already entered that data, they should not see those fields in the checkout.

The checkout fields (billing/shipping) will be displayed during checkout. However, for registered users, they should come pre-populated with the user’s info.

If this is not happening, it might be some sort of a conflict between WooCommerce and your theme or plugins causing the issue. I would suggest trying to do a conflict test and test by checking out to see if the data is not pre-populated.

Here are the steps for conflict testing: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/

    Thanks.

then everything is working fine, since the only information you enter when you register in woocommerce is the email, and is therefore the only field that appears filled out.

Yup, everything seems to be working as expected.

Now, if you would like to add Paypal buttons on the product, on the add to cart, and checkout page so that your user doesn’t have to fill out those billing details, then you can use WooCommerce PayPal Checkout Payment Gateway for this matter.

Here is the link to this plugin if you would like to give it a try:
