• Hey all,

I’m facing many problems with WordPress.

    1. When I’m trying to upgrade any plug-in, first it’s asking me to Enter Hostname, FTP username and ftp password. After putting those details, I’m getting this error for all plug-ins:

    Downloading update from http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/all-in-one-seo-pack.zip.

    Unpacking the update.

Incompatible archive PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Invalid archive structure

    2. I can’t see any “update” button in the theme editing pages. I’ve to manually change the permissions from cPanel and then only I can edit a theme. I’m not sure about what should be the default permission for this?

Any help would be deeply appreciated.

  • Looks like you’ve tried to download some bad plugin archives. Have you tried installing plugins manually.

    Hey,

The problem is with any kind of plug-in I’m trying…not with a particular one. Please help me in some way.

The archives are being seen as corrupt when you try to download them via the admin area. Try installing plugins manually using FTP (or use whatever file management application your host provides).

I am having a similar issue with ALL new plug-ins, plus the manual way I use to use is not working either. They appear in my content file, but when I look in plug-ins on my dashboard there are no new ones. I have tried with nearly 10 plugins, none show up!
