I ran your update. I am on Events Calendar plugin version 5.8.0
This is a school calendar. I tried to take a past-event post for the First Day of School and change the date to an August 2021 date. Nothing I did “held” the date when I hit the Update. So I tried to create a New event. I tried to choose August 2, 2021. I Published it and it changed to today’s date. I tried to update it to the August date. It just went back to today’s date.
What can I do to correct this issue?

  • Hey @tmsr

    Thank you for reaching out.
Without knowing more, it sounds like there is some kind of conflict at play.

The best thing to do is to go through our testing for conflicts procedure, preferably on a staging site.

That should allow you to identify what the issue is.

Out of curiosity, are you using the Classic Editor plugin by any chance?

    Hang in there!

I keep the site totally up-to-date (WordPress, theme (Avada) and plugins) and the date function in the Events was working fine before the Upgrade we had to do [before August 3]. I do not use the Classic Editor plugin.

I utilize all the other Avada features and plugins, so I’m not sure what I want to do here.

Please deactivate all plugins, (except calendar plugins) and see if the issue goes away.

Also please try activating a default WordPress theme, like 2019 and see if the problem goes away.
