Note doesn’t appear in donation records

Using the PayPal Donation plugin, I need our donors to add a note of their parishioner household id, so we can link their donation to their household contribution. I have the plugin’s settings set to require donors to include a note, but when I test in the Paypal sandbox, the note I enter doesn’t appear in the payment records in the plugin’s “Donations” menu option. How can I fix this?
