• I’ve been running Tribe Events Pro on my event listing site for several years. It took me a long time to get it looking the way I wanted, because I’m fussy and I like to customise things. I have minimal coding skills, so it took a long time but I was happy with the end result. I really liked the ability to link events, organisers and venues, and I created an event listing site that was popular and well-used.

In 2021 a new version came out that has completely broken everything I did before, and even worse, it is now impossible to tweak anything without having advanced knowledge of PHP. It doesn’t work in any useful way with Elementor, and there are serious flaws with the Gutenberg block editor – in my case, the custom fields and the price just wouldn’t display – and you can’t set up any templates, so I’d have to create each event view from scratch. It’s basically turned into garbage and has turned my site into garbage at the same time.

    Hi @musicdurham

We’re so sorry to hear that you have had this experience with our plugin! We do always recommend that users test updates on a staging site before updating on a live site.

In any case, we’d be happy to help get things back to normal for you. Let us know if you’d still like help with your site and we’d love to assist in any way we can. We appreciate your feedback and hope that we can find a way to make this right for you!
