In the search bar my product results are shown twice.(frontend)

In the backend with each product, with each product visibility, store and search are active.
With this settings, the results are shown twice in the search bar.
If only set active ‘store’ and not ‘search’, the result is not shown twice anymore.

    Is this normal?

    Kind regards,

    Patrick

  • Hello,

Upon checking your store, I don’t see the issue on my end – products are showing only once: https://snipboard.io/VcLvzO.jpg

If there is a particular product I should look up, please let us know.

If only set active ‘store’ and not ‘search’, the result is not shown twice anymore.

By default, Catalog visibility setting shouldn’t cause duplicate search results.

    Hello maykato,

    Thanks for helping me out.

You searched for the term ‘artero’ and then it seems to be working.
But if you search for an exact product like in your screenshot ‘artero rode kappersstoel’, then it shows twice.

    Can you help me?

    Thanks

    Hi @redman5

Ok, I can see the issue now.

You’ll first want to run a full conflict test to determine if the issue is coming from a plugin/theme conflict – please temporarily switch your theme back to Storefront and disable all plugins except for WooCommerce.

If that resolves the issue, then re-enable plugins one-by-one until you find the one that’s causing the conflict.

If you don’t want to test on your live site, you can create a staging site using a plugin called WP Staging: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-staging/

You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/

    Hi @redman5,

It’s been a while so we were just following up to see if you were able to conflict test and find out whether the issue persisted when using another theme.

We’ll be happy to assist further if you update us on this.
    Thanks.
