Permalink auto-generation is annoying me

I’m creating a series of pages and I want their permalinks to be setup a very specific way. However, after I type the title of my new page the permalink is automatically generated. I don’t like how wordpress decides to generate my permalinks and I want the “Edit” button to allow me to add/remove “/” characters, so that I can choose the “depth” of the permalink and organize it how I want.

Is there a way to do this already or do I need a plugin?
