Ignore slash not working causing redirects not to work

The following rules aren’t working (along with many more).

Please confirm if this type of rule works.

Source URL: /xmlrpc.php/	
Ignore Case, Ignore Slash
Query Parameters: Exact match in any order
Match: URL Only	
When matched: Redirect to URL
with HTTP code: 301
Target URL: https://www.unitedwayoc.org/

For this one, removing the trailing slash for the source URL worked. However, the ignore slash is enabled.

Why are you putting a trailing slash at the end of those URLs?

They will likely be handled directly by your server. https://redirection.me/support/problems/url-not-redirecting/

Hi John,

Thank for your help. WordPress adds a trailing slash anyways which I believe causes another redirect. I did that thinking it would reduce the number of redirects.

I’m also getting other errors such as “too many redirects”. I’ve tried clearing cache, cookie, and even server cache and that doesn’t seem to do the trick.

It doesn’t add it to those URLs.

What am I looking at in the list? Can you reduce it to something specific:

– A full URL that isn’t working
– The redirect you’ve created for that
