SSL Security Issue When Trying to Send Test Email

When I try to send a test email using sendinblue, I get the following error log:

Versions:
WordPress: 5.7.2
WordPress MS: No
PHP: 7.4.9
WP Mail SMTP: 2.8.0

Params:
Mailer: sendinblue
Constants: No
API Key: Yes

Debug:
Mailer: Sendinblue
[0] cURL error 60: SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate (see https://curl.haxx.se/libcurl/c/libcurl-errors.html)

I’m using WordPress on a localhost through WAMPServer, could this have anything to do with it?

Hi @afeldner,

Thanks for reaching out. The error message indicates that your localhost does not have a valid certificate required while sending the cURL request. This solution which is specific to WAMP server might help you.

That seemed to fix that error, however, I’m now being shown a new error (attached below)

I’m not sure why my account wasn’t activated during the whole setup process, but I’ll go ahead and email them and get clarification.

Thanks for getting in touch. Yes, you should contact Sendinblue as your Sendinblue account hasn’t been activated yet.
