Inserting/display template tags on pages

I am trying to play around with some simple template tags and wanted to insert <?php bloginfo('name'); ?> on a page.

However, it doesn’t show up on the page although I already typed it in the editor (in html mode).

Is there another way to do this? Can’t I mix HTML and PHP in the editor?
