Yes, you can set a custom color for MEC. Please follow the steps explained in this article: https://webnus.net/dox/modern-events-calendar/styling-option/.
Set this option → https://i.postimg.cc/h4VbJWy6/image.png (Main Color).

Thanks to the webnus tech support (Matthew Clarkson), I solved it like this:
I put this code in MEC> Settings > Custom CSS:
.mec-widget .mec-calendar .mec-has-event:after {
background-color: red !important;
width: 8px;
height: 8px;
}
