@swerlz please mention the method you are using for splitting? Then we can help you with the manual split.

I go into the Woocommerce->Orders->Order
Under Order Actions I select ‘Split Order’
Then I can only select all the products which are going to be split from this order, but I want to group some of these together
@swerlz the manual splitting you are trying, will create only two orders. One order for selected items and one order for unselected items. Items can not be grouped manually.
@swerlz another option using manual split is quantity spit, because qty. split will automatically consider each portion of the ratio as a separate group. @jonathan972 please help them with the screenshots or videos.
For example:
Order A = Product1, Product2, Product3, Product 4
Required results are:
Order B = Product 1, Product 2
Order C = Product 4
So you will use the quantity split method as follows:
item_meta = split
meta_values:
Product1 = 1:0
Product2 = 1:0
Product3 = 0:0
Product4 = 0:1
It is not that complex as it seems, just to explain the ratio with the number of groups you need. So 1:0 means, first order should have 1 qty and second order nothing for product 1.

@swerlz you can use grouped products method. Assign any item a group and turn Off auto split. You will find a purple button in order list to split the order manually.

Just an FYI – We cannot split products by attributes/categories etc. It’s simply impossible as we have 1.5k products and each have to be split differently.
It has to be manually, like in your example but I am not sure whats wrong with my setup.
@swerlz when you add split meta for items try to split order from actions with “Split Order“.

When I try the manual split it splits it into different orders but it doesn’t take into account quantity.
I just tried 0:2:3 on Product 3, but I ended up with Product 3 in an order by it’s own with 5 quantity.
I can provide credentials to our dev environment if needed.
Thanks
