• Hi, I’m an absolute beginner with wp and now using the beautiful minimalist theme by Joey Robinson (http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/minimalist).
I am creating a static website, i.e. only consisting of a few pages. Now, I’d like to create a “classical” static navigation, with my pages shown without hiding. I cannot find the right function or definition to change in the stylesheet to make the left sidebar become static.
I hope, I made myself clear – sorry if I didn’t. Can anyone of you help me?
Thank you very much in advance!
    Gui.

  • if you mean that you only want the pages listed and nothing else, you got to edit the sidebar.php file

Thanks for the answer. I already edited the sidebar.php and deleted “Categories” etc., so that now my sidebar/navigation only consists of one single item, called “Pages” by default. After klicking on “Pages”, the single pages are listed. But I’d like to show them from the beginning, not to hide them.
When a visitor views my site, I’d like him to see a navigation in this form:
    -page1
    -page2
    -page3

without having to klick on “Pages” first. I don’t find a way.
Again: Thanks in advance – I would be very happy if anyone could help.

Any help on this issue? I want to keep the entire list of pages permanently displayed too.

Are you using Widgets in your sidebar?
