New Gutenberg update conflicts with SEP plugin

The new update has cause conflicting issues with the Simple Event Planner plugin.
The individual events now they are displaying like posts instead of using the default event display which is in two columns.

This is how it looks with Gutenberg activated now:

before the upadte to the latest version of Gutenberg there was no conflict and everything was working fine. Is there a way to have Gutenberg no overwrite the display of the event posts? This is happening to all the individual events.
