We just had a very unexpected and unfortunate thing happen upon installing your plugin yesterday.
    – We have a staging site where we installed your plugin which is a clone of our production site.
    – We have onesignal notifications installed via wp plugin
    – After we activated Youzify, every singal one signal subscriber was sent a push notification with text, “Login”
    – Then one second later, they got another push notification with text, “Password Reset”
    – The push notifications redirected to youzer login page not our theme login page.

This has created a LOT of confusion for our users! They emailed me asking if someone had hacked their account. Also it was very bad because the push notifications also directed to the staging site and not the real site, so many users are now confused about which is our real site.

This has been a really big headache for us and very disappointing! Why would activating your plugin automatically schedule and send a push?

I am logging here in case anyone will have the same issue.

    Thank you,
    Chris

    Hello Chris,

    Thanks for your message.

We are sorry to hear that, But we have no push notification in Youzify, also the email notification system is managed 100% by BuddyPress. Also, we have no scheduled emails or anything similar to that. You can even check the whole code to make sure.

For the login page being replaced by Youzify login page, you can disable that easily with one click, check this topic below:

    You are welcome.

    Best Regards, KaineLabs Team.

This is a issue with One Signal. You can try WebPushr instead. That solves the issue.

@ideasmakemarket – thanks for this insight. Did you experience a similar problem? I just want to make sure that it wasn’t a hack and that it won’t happen again when I push my youzify changes to prod.

    Thanks!
    Chris

I had the problem with One Signal as it was sending the notifications for past posts once Youzer was activated on deactivation. I havent faced same issue with webpushr

@ideasmakemarket – do you have any ideas why it would send the push notification to “Login” and “Password Reset”? This made me (and our users!) think it was a hack. The push notifications went directly to the youzify login screen – not my them registration. Thanks for the tip on webpushr.

I got notifications of my existing posts. Not for login and password reset.

One Signal considered login and password reset as new pages. You should limit notifications to just posts. This is not related to Youzify

@ideasmakemarket – thanks so much for this insight!

So just to confirm, One Signal saw these new youzify/buddy press pw/login pages and it triggered a push notification to send this new page to each of my one signal subscribers. So turn off One Signal notifications for new pages created. Is that right?

What’s weird is I’ve never encountered this on our prod site and we create new pages all the time and no push notifications were ever sent. This did happen on the staging site which is just a clone of prod site on different server.

    Thanks so much!
    Chris

Edit: One thing I notice is that Login and Password Reset pages were created at the exact time before the push campaign (So this confirms your thoughts). Also, all my other pages were made with elementor and these weren’t which maybe is why the plugin picked them up and not the others.

For anyone reading this! This is likely due to One Signal WP plugin and not youzify directly. MAKE SURE your page notifications are turned off in One Signal plugin because youzify will create new pages.
