Stripe email receipt

    Hi Mr.Clayton

    I got stripe configured and connected via sandbox mode/test mode. It reads on the stripe website that receipts will not be automatically sent under those conditions, only of it’s live mode. I’m wondering if there is a way to override that setting? Ive already enabled the email settings in WooCommerce at the bottom like I’ve read. I can manually send one without any issues, just wanting to make sure it’ll work.

    Hi @odinit,

    If I am understanding your question correctly automatic receipts are disabled by default in the plugin settings. That’s because most merchants rely on the WC email functionality to alert users to a new order

    If you want to make sure the email receipts via Stripe is working, you will have to process a real transaction. As the docs state, only in live mode does Stripe send emails.
