Hi,
We’re sorry to hear that you received this error. Is this appearing in the front end or is it just appearing in your server logs? Did the error message appear when you updated to v16.2 of Yoast SEO for WordPress?
Please also do check if you are on the latest version of WordPress 5.7.2, have the latest version of your other plugins and themes, and meet all of the necessary plugin requirements.
Hi,
It’s appearing in the backend.
I today updated to 16.3 but it’s still there.
We are on 5.7.2.
This is a screenshot of the error:

Thank you for getting back to us and sharing the screenshot and site health info.
Nothing really takes immediate attention, so we would like to know if the warning error also appears when Yoast SEO is the only plugin active. And if not, when it reappears when you start enabling other plugins again. We believe this to be a plugin or theme conflict, as we can’t reproduce this with 16.3 free in a local environment where WP_DEBUG is set to true.
In order to test this, we encourage you to use the Health Check plugin troubleshooting mode, you can find the relevant steps to do this here: https://yoast.com/help/how-to-check-for-plugin-conflicts/.
As a sidenote: we do see you have 3 must use plugins as well, which might filter or change the auto-updates specific options in your database. When every plugin but Yoast SEO is active and the warning does still persists, please temporary rename the mu-plugins directory in your WordPress installation and check if the warning still shows. If not, one of the 3 is interfering here.
