A problem with author.php

    Hmm–changing to the Day and name permalink structure changes my author url to what you are seeking.

    See Administration > Settings > Permalinks

    Go to your Dashboard -> Settings -> Permalinks and change it from default to custom, and type

    /%postname%.html

    then save changes!

    After all these, your pages will be changed from :

    globaltravelpack.com/blog/?author=1 to globaltravelpack.com/blog/username

    One of the provided permalinks structures is preferable, and any(except default – aka off) should give you pretty author URLs.
