    Hello!

I am currently migrating my site to WordPress. I have almost finished, and am now setting up the SEO Framework plugin. I have one question though:

I am currently using a staging site and will redirect to the real domain in a week or so. Should I turn off the SEO framework plugin, or do something else? I have a site-wide password active currently so google doesn’t index pages that won’t be there later, but I just want to know if there is something I should do right now and also when I redirect the domain.

    Any support on this?

    Hello!

Please allow us for a 7-day support delay for free and voluntary support. We have a relatively small support team for the size of the plugin.

When you perform a redirect, TSF won’t have a chance to interfere. A redirect prevents access to the page and thus also to anything that TSF might output.

To be safe, I recommend checking the SEO Bar to see if you get a green index item on the new site. When it’s blue or red, something is blocking indexing, and that may require fixing if unintentional.

When you edit a post, under the “Visibility” tab of TSF’s settings, you’ll find an auto-generated canonical URL as a placeholder. This canonical URL should point to the correct domain automatically. When it doesn’t, please see if you can rectify the URL at WordPress’s General Settings.

I don’t think there are any other apparent culprits. Good luck with migrating the domain!
