    Hello everyone:

I am building an academy with SENSEI https://www.madqreativo.com/teachandbytes/, using the Genesis framework v3.3.3 , with the Academy PRO child theme v1.0.7. My WordPress version is 5.7.2.

The problem is that the link to the “Courses” page that Sensei creates by default, shows me a page with a simple text, without styles and without any course (I have created 4). I copy you the text here below:

Ordenar por más nuevosOrdenar por título A-Z TodoDestacados Cursos Trucos de Schoology para Profesores II1 …

After giving it a thousand turns, I decided to uninstall Sensei LMS, checking the option to “Clear data when uninstalling”, but when I reinstalled it the same thing kept happening.

As I was testing I realized that the problem seems to be in the slug of the page, with some relation to the permalinks.

The problem seemed to be solved by changing the default Sensei LMS slug, “resumen-cursos”, for this other one, “”resumen-cursos”-tb”, and linking the page in the menu item I had created for the courses (I have left the menu item courses pointing to the courses page with the original slug and I have created the submenu “Cursos-tb” pointing to an identical page, but with the slug “resumen-cursos-tb” so you can see what happens).

Changing the slug showed the courses perfectly and I thought I had finally solved it, but NO!!!… the “big” problem came when, from “Mis cursos”, I clicked on the button view results of a finished course. This link took me to the page https://www.madqreativo.com/teachandbytes/curso/trucos-schoology-profesores/results/, and to my surprise it showed me the result in a page with the title “Blog” and the following text (simple and without styles) in the body:

Trucos de Schoology para Profesores Has aprobado este curso con una calificación de 83%. Lecciones Módulo …

I haven’t cleared the WP cache because I don’t know if it can be cleared somehow, without having any plugins installed (I haven’t installed any). To see if I could fix it I went to Settings/Permanent links and clicked the save button, cleared the cache in Chrome and Firefox browsers and reloaded the page again…the problem continues and the truth is that I can’t think of anything else to do but delete everything and reinstall WordPress from scratch :-(…

How can I solve this problem?

    Sorry for the rambling 😉

Thank you very much for your help

  • Hi @teachandbytes ,

The first thing I’d want to check is how your site works (permalinks/slugs) with just Sensei + a default theme installed. Do the issues persist? If so, it’s possible there’s an issue with your theme.

How are you providing the translation? Are you using a plugin (if so, which one), or something else? What is language is your site language set to?

Caching could be an issue without any caching plugins; often web hosts employ server-side caching you could ask about.

One thing to try is flushing your permalinks, which means: set the structure to Plain, then save. Then reset them to your preferred structure and save again.

Let us know and we’ll go from there.

    Best,

    Hi, @cena:

It’s all taken care of. The problem was that I didn’t have the “Genesis Connect for Woothemes Sensei” plugin installed. I installed it and everything was solved.

Thank you very much for your help.
