Duplicate menu items

Hello,
Hoping someone can help.

On my navigation bar I have a HOME button.
This displays a page of my choice – in my case a page called WELCOME.

I also get the WELCOME page in my navigation bar.
This means that I get that page appearing twice.

Is there a way of suppressing the page that I’ve chosen as my front page so it only appears in the navigation bar once?
