Hello, I am unable to preview themes in my admin dashboard. The thumbnails don’t show up.
    screenshot1

If I click on where they’re supposed to be, it shows me a dramatically stripped down version of theme. So, instead of it looking like this (for example):

    screenshot2

It looks like this: <a href=”
    http://img156.imageshack.us/img156/3659/themetrouble3.jpg”>screenshot3

When I preview the source code in Dreamweaver, it renders like it’s supposed to in screenshot2.

    1)What must I change?
2)Where do I go to make the change (my hosting cpanel, or my admin dashboard?)

temporarily change the chmod on /wp-content to 777
    activate or preview a theme
if it works ok, chmod /wp-content to 755 again and test

    Hello,

So I went to the CPanel and selected the whole folder wp-content and changed the permission to 0777. It hasn’t made a difference. Is there another step I need to take? I went into the individual themes and changed them to all to 777 as well.

It’s not the permissions. It’s the referrer issue. If I turn off the referrers in my browser every image will show up. Check your .htaccess file.

Thank-you! That was it exactly. When I changed the hotlinking protection the images reappeared. Thanks!
