Changing order status by default

When a payment is done via PayPal standard, the order status shows as “pending payment” even though the payment is automatically completed

This commonly happens when PayPal (via IPNs) is unable to communicate with your site to inform that a payment has been completed. Thus, WooCommerce does not change the order status.
