Why close topics?

I see all kinds of incomplete answers and instead of support, more of an attempt to frame one’s problems as not your own.

If I have the same problem as someone else and I read your answer and you didn’t even read the easy to understand question to someone with a similar issue.

What is the harm in keeping threads open until no one suffers the same problem?
