Unable to connect to wordpress.org?

    Is there some new WordPress requirement for the server introduced in the past couple of months?

    Two new installations on different domain names get the same error. They are both on the same hosted server. I’ve owned the domains for a while so I don’t think it is DNS propagation. It’s the settings I usually use, PHP7.4, SSL certificates installed.

    Your site is unable to reach WordPress.org at 198.143.164.251, and returned the error: cURL error 6: Could not resolve host: api.wordpress.org

    The site looks fine, but I can’t access plugins and themes. I assume I could just download and I know I can bypass it in config, but perhaps this problem will cause long term issues if it’s not fixed?
