• I’ve got a website up and running now and am trying to add some code from statcounter.com so I can gauge my traffic but it won’t include it on the page…

I add the code supplied for me to the footer above the </body> code and then when i go to view -> page source for my site it just isnt in there even though I say upload file and it says “File edited successfully.”

I don’t understand how the code it says I have in the wordpress admin can differ from that of the page itself, am I doing something stupid?

  • Hi drafty, have you tried to paste in the code in the text widget and put it in your sidebar?

Hey Kim, just gave that a go and had a look at the page source and it looks to be in there now so thanks!

Wonder why it wasn’t adding in the actual footer editor though…

I’ll have a check of my statcounter tomorrow to make sure.

You’re very welcome. In the footer, i also never tried to put it there, except for google anaylitics code, or somekind. Greetings
