Nothing happens.

Hi, I tried switch theme in a clean installation inside gutenberg editor to twentynineteen and twentytwenty. Nothing happens.

Gutenberg has no impact.
Be sure it’s not an issue caused by the cache.
Can you share the URL where you should see a different theme?I suggest the following:
– In the backend refresh the page where you want a different theme, and check that the option is saved with the checkbox checked.
– Go to plugins and check you have the mu-plugin eos-switch-theme.php (https://your-site.com/wp-admin/plugins.php?plugin_status=mustuse)
– If you have any cache on the server or provided by a plugin, delete all the cache
– Check the same page adding a query argument to the URL, e.g. https://your-site.com/page-sample/ becomes https://your-site.com/page-sample/?example-argument=sdlkfThanks for the fast response. It works now. I didn’t clean the cache. I deactivated and activated again so it worked. 🙂
Perfect. You are welcome!
So I will close this thread.Have a great day!
Hi again,
It worked in the home but in a new page not.
I installed wp fastest cache and click in “clear all cache”.
eos-switch-theme.php is ok.
I install some plugins before. I will do this on a clean installation.Maybe you have also a layer of cache provided by the server.
You have already checked that you have eos-switch-theme.php, so this is ok.Check also:
– In the backend refresh the page where you want a different theme, and check that the option is saved with the checkbox checked.
– If you have any cache on the server delete all the cache
– Check the same page adding a query argument to the URL, e.g. https://your-site.com/page-sample/ becomes https://your-site.com/page-sample/?example-argument=sdlkfIf adding a query argument to the URL as suggested in the last point works, it means the problem is related to some cache (the server, WP Fastest Cache, maybe a CDN, the device).
I’m trying in localhost.
Steps to the problem:
1 – install wordpress
2 – install freesoul plugin
3 – create a new page
4 – try to update the theme
5 – not working6 – go to customizer
7 – set sample page as home page
8 – go to sample page
9 – try to update the theme
10 – it works on the sample page11 – go to customizer
12 – set new page as home page
13 – go to new page
14 – try to update the theme
15 – it works on the new page but sample page stops to workI’m doing a new test on my remote server. Wait a moment please.
I found the problem.
I suspected that it was in the permalinks.
I go to the permalinks page and configure it.
And it works.
Thank you.
