Hello, @swinggraphics,
- When activating the Gutentor exactly 5 CSS/JS loaded font-awesome, grid, animate, wow and gutentor. They needed for almost all gutentor blocks but truly for these words “Unnecessary resources CSS/JS never loaded on your page.” we are going to add options to disable them and only add when gutentor blocks are being used. Thanks for pointing it out.
- The other CSS/JS resources load whenever necessary, for example, Countup only loads when you add CountUp Block, slick loads for slider blocks and acmeticker load for ticker block and so on. We believe it is a very good idea to loads JS/CSS resources whenever needed and the blocks also couldnot function properly without those resources. And I think Gutentor will always function like this unless there is another better solution for optimization.
Thanks for pointing out the issue. We will definitely improve it according to your points in upcoming updates.
Best Regards!
Hello @swinggraphics ,
We have added more strict rules for resource load and also added the Resources Load Control on Gutentor => Setting => Optimization => Resources Load.
Let us know if you have further suggestions.
Best Regards!
Hi!
I started using Gutentor recently, I’m happy to see this update. There are 13 elements you can disable in total, some of them are pretty self explanatory, others I’m not sure what consequences there will be after disabling them. Could you provide a brief description of each element you can disable?
Just to clarify, if I disable all of them, would they be activated if I add a block that requires it?
Great job, thanks!

Hello @farbelaez ,
There is a small info icon beside select options. We have added information there. Basically Gutentor does not load resources by default. Resource are only loaded if used blocks required them. And now you can also control to load or not load them.
Best Regards!
