    Hi there,
I haven’t found this topic in the forum so far. I am helping someone set up their MailPoet 3 emails and we have a question. We’d like to draft a series of 3 automated email campaigns to send automatically when people sign up for her mailing list.

I read through how to set up these emails, but I can’t figure out if it’s possible to draft all the emails before I activate the first? I’d like the 2nd email to be set up to send 1 day after the first but I am not getting the option to set up multiple emails right now.

We are in the process of cleaning her email list and using the free plugin for now, but for now, she is over the limit for free subscribers. As we sort through subscribers, I was hoping to get this automation taken care of. Is this possible?

    Thanks!
    Willow

    Hi @learningwp35,

You can create a drip campaign using the Welcome Emails, as described here:

    https://kb.mailpoet.com/article/244-how-to-create-a-drip-campaign-with-welcome-emails

We’d like to draft a series of 3 automated email campaigns to send automatically when people sign up for her mailing list.

Yes, you can create the 3 Welcome Emails, save them as a draft and keep them “Inactive” while still working on their templates/content.

Once you activate them, then the newly subscribed users will receive them according to how you have them set up (X days after subscription).

Please note you’ll be able to automatically send them only to new subscribed users. Existing users won’t receive these emails once they’re “Active”. For those, you’ll need to send the emails manually.

    Thanks!

Hi @bruberries thank you for your response! Am I understanding correctly that I’ll be able to adjust the send time for the automations after drafting them? Ie, I can draft the emails for now, but don’t have to set up the frequency yet, and will be able to go back to do this later? Thank you.

    Hi @learningwp35,

I can draft the emails for now, but don’t have to set up the frequency yet, and will be able to go back to do this later?

Yes, that’s correct. You can set up any frequency you want to create a new Welcome Email. But it doesn’t mean you need to activate the Welcome Email or can’t change this frequency later.

Instead of activating the Welcome Email, you can click on the “Save as draft and close” button and leave it as a draft. You can go back and edit it at any time you like. Once it’s finished, you can then change its settings and Activate it.

For reference: Create a Welcome Email

    Thanks!
