how we edit meta title in Home Page?

    Suppose my site name : merablog

    the meta title i see on homepage : merablog
    and in single post : merablog – “title name”

    i want to add some description only on home page after blog name: merablog – “Description”

    can any one tell me what should i add in below code which inside the header.php

    <title>
    <?php bloginfo(‘name’); ?>
    <?php wp_title(); ?>
    </title>

    If you change the description in header.php without more code to determine it should only change on home, you’ll get the same description on all pages. Try All in One SEO Pack « WordPress Plugins

    Thanks for quick reply, i dont want to go for plugin.
    i want to do this manually

    i want add some description only on home page. and rest of thing is same.

    can you tell me exactly where i add the description on below code, im new in wordpress

    i already read this and did not understand nothing.

    i did not no anything about php.

    This is My wordpress site : http://www.movieflake.com/

    if you visit the site on firefox, i see this line on top of screen in home page : Movieflake – Mozilla Firefox

    i want to add some title tag which comes only on home page, and they look like this: Movieflake (title tag come here) – Mozilla Firefox
