i had the same problems, all the time i used nextgen pro lightbox and after the last terrible update, i had the problem that the lightbox opens the actual image and only one step to the next or before the image has open, than there was a no more function. Only Exit has worked. I have done a manual reroll with my latest pro nextgen version 3.11 that works.
Perhaps you must do a reroll and still wait for the next terrible update.

i have written on pro-support 349791 that v3.9.2 does not fix the problem. My website (your admin acc is always active) runs on 3.9.2 and pro 3.1.11 and allready works fine. There are 25 updates in queue. If i do the 25 updates, the viewer does not work anymore.
At pro-support-ticket i have done a screenshot > uncaught TypeError: gallery is null.

We are making a completely new website without nextgen. Never again for us. To much problems.
That is hard, but i can understand it.
We have nextgen only running as a third-party plugin, so we can switch to another plugin, but nextgen is one of the best plugin for a photography website. The Problem is the testing by user, instead testing at a own platform before they do a rollout. Perhaps if they lose much more user, they will change there strategy and do some better support like a Rollback-Button or like Divi-Builder with a Remote Access-Support.
I hope they got fixed the problem.
