Great gallery but a bit outdated

    I find your plugin very useful and I would like to use it in my very large parrot site. The problem is that I am testing it in a test site and I see that it has many functions but a really “complicated” structure that does not fit well with the new wordpress themes.
    The graphics should be linear and without many tables to adapt to all the increasingly responsibe themes.
    When uploading the photos a box below opens instead of a new page which is really bad …

    It should be made easier without hundreds of options because less experienced users don’t understand much.
    Your work is excellent but you can see that it is the result of an old structure that has been continuously adapted.

    A slightly more modern gallery is this

    In my opinion if you rewrite your gallery by adding some of the functions you have you could also put a paid version.

    For example the background, fonts, comments etc. they should all be inherited from the theme and not created by the gallery but with the ability to customize them.

    That looks more attractive than it is.

    I do this with the search widget and it gives me more problems ( see a.o. https://wordpress.org/support/topic/no-magnifier-or-submit-on-search/ ) than you will have in simply filling in Tables III and V. Note that ‘transparent’ is also a valid css color. I expect even more trouble in inheriting the comment form.

    Many themes do strange things and i prefer to have it under control.

    Do not use this plugin for a simple website with only a few photos. This plugin is ment for sites that have photo (multi media) collections as their ‘core business’. Over 100 k photos, with flawless working rating and comments systems is not exceptional for sites that use this plugin.

    However, as simple as answering the 16 yes/no questions in Table 0 will do 90% of the configuration for you.

    What is more userfriendly that uploading and getting the visual content display updated under your eyes immedialtely without page reloading????
