    Hello,

I have a fresh install of WordPress 5.7 + WooCommerce with no further development on the site. When navigating to SG Optimizer to enable https I get the error:

Could not connect to the WordPress REST API

Either a security plugin, custom function or rules in your .htaccess file is preventing the WordPress REST API from working properly. SG Optimizer is using it to store its options and other functionalities so please make sure it works properly.

The only other plugins that came with the install were WooCommerce and WordPress Starter; I deactivated both and still get the error. I also tried reinstalling SG Optimizer, clearing my browser cache, and clearing the SG cache without success.

Sorry if I missed something and this duplicates other posts. I read through quite a few on this topic, but wasn’t able to find a resolution.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]
